Dining Services Cook

Description: The position is responsible for assisting the Director of Food Services in managing
food preparation and services for the school according to policies, procedures, and federal/state
requirements. This position works with the director of Food Services to provide support and
guidance to ensure food quality standards, inventory levels, food safety guidelines, and service
expectations are met.
Primary Responsibilities:
● Assist with the daily preparation, production, execution, and cleanup of the meals,
including cooking and baking.
● Monitor food preparation, portion sizes, garnishing, and presentation to ensure food is
prepared and presented acceptably and appealingly.
● Assist with setting up tables and preparing the dining area for family-style table service
as needed.
● Prepare meals to meet nutritional standards for children.
● Interact with students and employees on an ongoing, routine basis.
Position Requirements:
Experience
● Minimum of one year of experience in a similar capacity, preferably working in schools
Education
● Serv-Safe Certificate required
Skills & Knowledge
● Demonstrated knowledge of quantity food production and serving techniques and food
safety/sanitation requirements and procedures
● Working knowledge of food service equipment
● Must be able to work independently on multiple projects simultaneously and work well
under limited time constraints
Additional Requirements:
● Successfully complete a criminal background check
● Successfully complete post-offer employment physical
● Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain collegial relationships
● Regular and consistent attendance and punctuality are required and a condition of

Building and Grounds Associate
Title: Building and Grounds Associate

Description: The Senior Building and Grounds Associate is responsible for the general
maintenance and/or minor repairs to all campus facilities, grounds, and equipment.
Primary Responsibilities:
● Perform daily tasks in response to maintenance requests and scheduled work orders.
● Perform routine preventive maintenance and repair procedures on campus buildings,
equipment, motor vehicles, and utility systems on a scheduled basis.
● Perform general grounds maintenance work including mowing of lawns, raking, pruning,
landscaping, and snow removal.
● Make minor repairs and installations to building systems as directed.
● Perform general repairs to walls, doors, locks, windows, office equipment, flooring, and
miscellaneous campus equipment in and around campus facilities.
● Arrange and/or move desks, files, furniture, office equipment, and other items as
requested.
● Perform routine skilled general maintenance work including painting, light carpentry,
plumbing, and electrical.
● Perform odd janitorial duties and other related tasks as required.
● Keep routine records and make reports as required.
● Maintain organization and cleanliness of maintenance facility, work vehicle and project
sites in conjunction with other maintenance staff.
● Maintain organization of school-provided tools to ensure their performance integrity.
● Perform all work in a neat, safe, energy conscious and professional manner.
● Monitor and report all equipment, system and work site safety concerns to the director of
buildings and grounds.
● Assist with set ups for Bement functions as required.
● Respond to emergency maintenance requests as required.
● Directly perform duties of a senior buildings and grounds associate as needed.
Position Requirements:
Experience
● Minimum of 1 years experience
Skills & Knowledge
● Working knowledge of maintenance supplies, equipment, materials, and methods used to
perform routine repairs and installations
● Proven ability to correctly and safely use hand and power tools
● Working knowledge of the occupation hazards and corresponding safety precautions
necessary for the safe performance of assigned duties
● Attention to detail
● Proficient at using email and including the internet.
● Must be able to work independently

the grounds of a residential school utilizing standard maintenance equipment including . Work regularly
requires standing for extended periods of time, bending, reaching, kneeling, crouching, stooping and climbing
on 10’ ladders and occasionally 20’ ladders. Must be physically capable of regularly lifting and moving equipment
and items that may weigh up to 75 lbs. Must be able to use hands and fingers to use equipment. Employees in
this role will be required to work outside in varying weather and will be exposed to hot, cold, wet, and dusty
conditions. The employee may be exposed to chemicals used in the process of performing routine tasks

Substitute School Nurse
Title: Substitute School Nurse
Department: Health Services
Reports To: Director of Health Services
Date: 09/21/2023
Description: The Substitute School Nurse provides on-site health services and coordinates
external health services for Bement students.
Primary Responsibilities:
● Maintains regular office hours during which they provide healthcare to students
coordinating with the school doctor as appropriate
● Communicates with parents on student health matters
● Administers or supervises the administration of medication
Position Requirements:
● At least three years clinical nursing experience, pediatrics or adolescents in a health care
or school setting
● Nursing degree from an accredited school
● A valid Massachusetts RN license
● Willingness to learn Magnus Health (Bement's EMR)
