Bement’s Clagett McLennan Library offers a dynamic school library program that promotes reading for pleasure and enhances and supports curriculum. Squanto's Journey: the story of the first Thanksgiving
by Joseph Bruchac

Enslaved by the English, Squanto was taken to Spain, escaped to England (where he learned English) and returned to America. He helped the settlers survive their first winter through his sense of honor. Squanto was an amazing man, be sure to learn his story, and the role he played in the first Thanksgiving.
