The Franklin County Community Meals Program operates four meal sites and three food pantries in Franklin County. Each week, volunteers assist in stocking the pantry shelves, distributing bags and boxes of fresh produce and household staples at  meal sites and pantries, and connecting them with food donations.

The Stone Soup Café is a pay-what-you-can gourmet hot luncheon served by volunteers every Saturday afternoon in the All Souls Church in downtown Greenfield.

They seek volunteers for a variety of shifts to prepare food, wash dishes, pack and deliver meals.

The Treehouse Foundation, an award-winning nonprofit, helps children and youth whose lives have been impacted by foster care find “forever families” and ensure that they’re rooted in family and community.  With 40% of the state’s young people in foster care living in western Massachusetts, Treehouse Foundation offers a solution.  The Intergenerational Treehouse Community in Easthampton, opened in 2006, is home to 120 people:  families adopting children from foster care and caring older adults who all live in a close-knit neighborhood and invest daily in each other’s lives.Children, youth and families receive support and services to address the educational and emotional challenges often caused by early neglect, abuse and trauma. Older adults (55+) become "honorary grandparents," sharing their talents, time, wisdom and love. The result: All lives are enhanced.
