Junior Camp

Junior Camp provides a safe, nurturing camp experience for our youngest campers (children ages 4, 5, and 6 years old, or children entering preschool, kindergarten, and first grade). Campers will enjoy thematic activities, including games, arts and crafts, and outdoor play, as well as daily swim lessons and even special field trips each session.

Adventure Camp

Children ages 7 to 12 live fun-filled days of group games, crafts, swimming, and field trips. We explore every inch of our 30-acre campus, including Pine Hill, while also partnering with Historic Deerfield to investigate the history of the area. Campers enjoy Bement's beautiful campus, which includes a swimming pool, spacious classrooms, beautiful fields, and a fun playground. Our staff of counselors includes professional teachers and college students focusing on the education profession.

Prior to the start of camp, campers will have an opportunity to select their own adventures for each session. The anticipated activities for 2018 are listed here. An activity sign-up form will be emailed to parents of registered campers in late Spring.

CIT Program

Our Counselor in Training program gives young adults (13-15) experience working with children in Adventure and Junior Camps. Working with our director, head counselor, and experienced staff, they develop valuable job skills in different activities while still enjoying the fun of summer camp. At Bement, CITs build leadership skills and a sense of responsibility in a safe, fun environment. This opportunity is limited to five counselors-in-training per session.

Summer Camp Deposit

Bement’s Summer Programs Cancellation Policy

A non-refundable $100 deposit is due per camper in order to secure your camper's spot in day camp. If you need to change your dates for camp, rather than cancel, we will gladly try to accommodate your child if there is space available.

If you decide to cancel either before your desired session or during the session, please call Doc Potter, Director of Summer Programs, at 413-774-4209 or email at dpotter@bement.org with this information as soon as possible. If cancellation occurs more than 30 days before before the session start date, a 50% refund will be issued minus the $100.00 deposit. We also understand that things may come up during sessions that would prevent your child from attending camp. If it is necessary to cancel two weeks prior to the start of your camper’s session or mid-session, no refund will be returned for any tuition already paid. Any tuition owed will be required if there is a cancellation during camp.

Bement Camp complies with regulations of the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and is licensed by the local Board of Health.
