Enrichment Camps at Bement

$500 per week per camper

Do you love to read? Do you wish you were a stronger reader? Come to Book Blasters and Word Wizards and strengthen your reading and writing muscles! Together we will read and write stories. We will explore words and word parts to increase vocabulary and comprehension. Your reader will be exposed to multiple genres of books, and have the opportunity to create their own comic, fantasy, non-fiction, letter, or other product. Instruction will be personalized for your child and their skill level. This camp won’t be all work, though! We will play word games, gather for outdoor read-alouds, solve brain teasers, enjoy recess, and more. Join us!

The morning session will consist of flag football skills and drills and finish with a game before lunch.  The afternoon session will be games like capture the flag, dodgeball, ultimate frisbee, gaga ball and floor hockey as well as many others.

Digital storytelling utilizes technology to tell a story. Through voice, photographs, video, coding, and animation, a story comes alive. In this camp, children in grades 3–7 will have the opportunity to learn some of the latest applications while creating their own stories. They will explore the best platforms to tell their stories- a video game? An animated short film? A comic book? 
Devices will be provided.

This outdoor adventure program is for children entering grades 1 - 4. Throughout the week we will spend time outside building forts, catching frogs, and exploring the hiking trails at Pine Hill and the surrounding area. We will use natural materials to complete art projects and play games to grow closer together as a community.

This weeklong program offers directed projects as well as open studio time for kids interested in pursuing visual arts. Campers  will have access to guided lessons in origami, painting, friendship-bracelet-making, tie-dye arts, sculpture, and more, as well as having time for open studio access to work on individual projects. We will take advantage of the summer sunshine, take strolls in the woods surrounding Bement, draw some nature studies, and even take a museum trip or two! Come ready to roll up your sleeves, throw on an apron, and have fun!

Join the wizarding world for a week of magic! Witches and wizards will take part in potions and herbology classes, make their own wands, and learn about magical creatures. Can you ride a broom quick enough to capture the golden snitch? Are you able to think strategically in order to find the Sorcerer’s Stone? Does making ButterBeer sound delicious to you? Join our Wizarding Week at Bement and learn how!

$1000 per camper for the 2 weeks

In this two-week immersive camp students entering grades 2-6 will experience what it is like to put on a Broadway musical!  We will work with a 30 minute show from MTI KIDS and learn singing, dancing, and acting. We will also play theatre games and have fun both indoors and outdoors. We may even have the opportunity to go swimming.

At the end of the two weeks, the students will present their 30-minute musical to their friends and family on the Bement stage with costumes, music and lights!

We will play the kids' favorite PE games all week long.  Dodgeball, kick ball, pickleball, capture the flag, water games, gaga ball and street hockey are just some of the many games we will play this week.

This program will cover different themes. For each theme, students learn how to ask and answer questions using vocabulary related to that topic. Greetings, numbers, months of the year, parts of the body, animals and others will be learned through games, activities and songs. This will be a versatile curriculum that will give your student the confidence and interest they need to continue their language-learning journey.

We will use Pine Hill as a base for a week of outdoor adventure, exploration, and fun. Each day will feature a variety of programming centered around a hike to a scenic spot in the Deerfield area, including local mountains, waterfalls, and other interesting places. Campers will also take part in a variety of activities beyond hiking, such as fun woodland games, nature-based activities, swimming, and opportunities to practice skills such as fire building, orienteering, shelter making, and camp cooking.

Unlock your inner Leo Messi this summer with activities and games designed by soccer coaches Chiavaroli and Bartlett! Players will get hundreds of touches on the ball, play small-sided games, shoot on goal, and learn how to play beautiful passes, all great ways to spend your summer time.  This camp is offered to both experienced and beginning players.  We will get a chance to cool off in the pool and enjoy some activities outside of soccer as well. Are you ready to score lots of goals?

Calling all aspiring musicians and music lovers! Join us at Bement this summer for The Magic Behind Music, a unique music camp experience for campers entering grades 4-8. Our campers will explore an exciting range of musical genres, from rock to hip-hop, and gain an in-depth appreciation for the music they listen to every day. Campers will be able to develop their skills in analyzing and discussing songs, learning about song structure and instrumentation, and engage with the rich history of popular music. The Magic Behind Music also offers a safe and fun environment where campers can find camaraderie with other young musicians, share their love of music, and make memories that will last a lifetime!
