Digital Storytelling Camp
June 19-23, 2023
9:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Marcia Bernard, Bement Librarian
Digital storytelling utilizes technology to tell a story. Through voice, photographs, video, coding, and animation, a story comes alive. In this camp, children in grades 3-7 will have the opportunity to learn some of the latest applications while creating their own stories. They will explore the best platforms to tell their stories- a video game? An animated short film? A comic book?
Topics covered include:
- Traditional stories
- Photo editing
- Stop-motion animation
- Video editing
- Green screen
- Voice recording
- Video game design
- Storytelling games
- Copyright and Creative Commons
- Revision, critique, and sharing your work
Tuition is $500. A non-refundable deposit of $200 per child is due with registration. Payment is due in full by June 1.
Lunch and daily shacks are provided by Bement each day. Devices are also provided.
Registration is limited to 10 campers and will open February 1.
