Good basketball starts with defense and intensity. All the coaches at Bement focus on these vital aspects of the game through footwork and intelligent positioning. With varsity and junior varsity teams, there is a wide variety of skill and experience on the court. Our practice and home game courts are at Deerfield Academy. Like many of our other varsity sports, we often play up against high schools in the area.
Beckie Duseau began playing sports the moment she could pick up a basketball. Joining the Bement community as a seventh grader in 2009, she quickly chose basketball as her winter sport and continued to play recreationally through high school and college. Ms. Duseau attended Northfield Mount Hermon as a tenth grader, playing soccer, basketball, and lacrosse. At Connecticut College she rowed on the varsity rowing team for four years, graduating with a BA in Biochemistry Cellular/Molecular Biology. This is Ms. Duseau's third year of coaching, and her first year coaching at Bement.
