Boys Lacrosse

Overview
Bement's lacrosse team has a competitive and active game schedule. First year players learn the sport and challenge their athleticism. Returning players demonstrate leadership while working to develop positional skills and strategies to be successful. We participate in two to three competitions per week with other surrounding JV level teams from Eaglebrook School, Northfield Mount Hermon, Williston Northampton, Amherst Middle School, and many others. In mid May, the Bement lacrosse team participates at a junior tournament held at the Pine Cobble School in beautiful Williamstown, Massachusetts. In the 2016 season, Bement came in first place overall at the tournament out of a competitive six team roster from the New England area.

Jeffrey CadyJeff Cady serves as the eighth and ninth-grade class dean, an eighth-grade English teacher and advisor, a dorm parent, and a lacrosse and basketball coach. Mr. Cady's love for teaching was shaped as a camper and counselor at Camp Dudley in NY and a four-year boarding student at Westminster School in CT. After college, Mr. Cady taught and coached at the Dunn School in CA, Kinkaid School in TX, and Gonzaga in DC. He then ventured outside of education as a management consultant, startup director, and U.S. diplomat. Now back in the classroom, Mr. Cady is committed to helping students discover and communicate from their authentic voices. Outside of teaching, he can be found spending time with his wife and two daughters, hopefully outdoors and in the wilderness.
