Swimming and Diving

Select Team:

Overview

Bement’s co-ed swim team uses the Deerfield Academy eight-lane pool, which also includes a separate diving pool. Emphasis is on skill development in stroke technique, starts and turns, as well as work on endurance and speed. We also offer diving instruction and competition for those interested. Swimmers have a challenging daily workout based on each swimmer’s ability. We also mix in fun, culminating the season with our XX games, an intersquad meet combining traditional events with novelty races. Our competition typically is high school JV teams as well as other middle school teams. The team’s focus is on setting individual goals and bettering individual times throughout the season. We are able to work with beginning and experienced competitive swimmers, stressing individual improvement in skills.
