The Art of Shadow Puppetry at Bement

Our fine arts department is constantly seeking ways to expand our minds creatively and challenge our imaginations.  This year, they brought the art of shadow puppetry to life when they invited Puppetree of Vermont for a day at Bement.  In early November, this specially trained group came to perform Washington Irving's “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” for all students and faculty.  Following the performance, lower school students were instructed in the art of shadow puppetry in their fine arts classes throughout the day.  It was a special day with hands-on demonstrations and culminated with student puppetry performances.
