Admission decisions are based on
the candidate's school record, including teacher
recommendations, Wechsler Intelligence Scale for
Children (grades 3-9), and a visit to Bement's
campus. It is a priority of Bement admissions to
give preference to siblings of current students
and to enroll a diverse student population. The
kindergarten admission process follows different
guidelines, and those interested should contact
the Admission Office for details.
The admission committee looks for students who
will benefit from and contribute to the life of
the school. The deadline for day student
applications is February 8th. There is no
deadline for boarding applicants; decisions are
made shortly after a boarding candidate's
application is complete. The school strongly
encourages day student candidates to complete
the application process, including a campus
visit and interview, by the February 8 deadline.
Visits should be scheduled when school is in
session, and can be arranged Monday through
Friday between the hours of 8 a.m. and 2:15 p.m.
Students can also plan a visit for the day by
contacting the admission office.
Decisions will be made by March 10th.
