Alumni: Class Agents

Bement class agents play a special role in communicating with fellow alumni/ae. They are updated regularly by the school with news and announcements in hopes that they will communicate them to their former Bement classmates and friends. We are happy to share the following list of those who have chosen to volunteer as special "ambassadors for Bement." We encourage steady communication to nurture your Bement memories.

Below is a list of current class agents- please contact the alumni office for their contact information: alumni@bement.org, 413.774.3021.

Class Agent Job Description

Goals:
You open the door to Bement for your classmates!
The role of the class agent is to cultivate communication, interest, and support of Bement. Communication is key to building interest and support. All communication and cultivation efforts should be made while keeping the mission of the Bement School Alumni/ae Association (BSAA) is mind.

Why are Class Agents so important?
It is important that class agents act as ambassadors for Bement. Many of your classmates have not been back on campus since they graduated and have little idea of what is happening at Bement today. Many have changed their addresses several times and do not receive our regular mailings.

Responsibilities:
Classmate Updates: Notify the Alumni/ae & Development Office of classmates' changes in address, phone number, email, job, marital status, etc. This allows us to keep our school records current.
Holiday Cards: You will be asked to mail, and personalize our annual Holiday Card for mailing to your classmates. Bement Holiday Cards, along with stamped, addressed envelopes are provided.
Class Notes: Provide us with news of classmates for the Class Notes section of the Bement Bulletin. Gathering news is an on-going process. Call, write or email us with news anytime and be sure to ask for photos!
Lost Alums: From time to time we will send you a list of classmates for whom we have no address. You and/or your classmates will often be the best source of this information.

Expectations:

  • Keep abreast of current issues on campus in order to be a source of information to your classmates.
  • Attend events on campus whenever possible and encourage classmates to attend Bement events, such as, Homecoming.

Email/Telephone/Mailings:
The Alumni/ae & Development Office encourages the use of email as a means of corresponding both with us and with classmates; it is certainly the most effective because it is quick, non-invasive and free! Feel free to contact any alum via phone or mail and we will be happy to reimburse you for any phone charges or postage paid, upon request. Receipts for charges must be sent to us to submit to our business office.
