Advisor System
Each
student in the upper school is assigned a faculty advisor.
That teacher is responsible for overseeing the academic and
behavioral welfare of each advisee. There is time set aside
each day for advisors and advisees to meet. The advisor is
often a good contact when a parent has specific concerns regarding
a son or daughter's progress at school.
All students in the upper school participate in a community
service program through the advisor system. Students in grades
seven through nine take part in an intergenerational
project. Those students travel with their advisors to
a local nursing home and work in groups or one-on-one with
the residents. Students in grade six participate in varied on-campus community service
events.
